Scissor Lift Rental Dubai — Daily & Monthly Prices by Height (2026)

Scissor lift rental in Dubai runs from about AED 200 per day for a 6m electric platform to AED 950 per day for a 16m diesel rough-terrain machine. Monthly hire cuts the per-day cost by roughly half. Here is what UAE suppliers actually charge, and the extras that don’t appear in the headline rate.

Scissor lift rates in Dubai by height and type

Scissor lifts are priced by platform height and by whether they’re electric (indoor, non-marking tyres) or diesel rough-terrain (outdoor, 4WD). Electric machines are cheaper to run — no fuel, no fumes — but need overnight charging access on long jobs.

Class / typeDaily (AED)Weekly (AED)Monthly (AED)
Electric 6–8m (19–26ft)200 – 3801,000 – 1,8003,000 – 6,500
Electric 10–12m (32–40ft)480 – 7502,400 – 3,8008,500 – 14,000
Diesel RT 14–16m (45–52ft)600 – 9503,000 – 4,80011,000 – 17,000

These are dry-hire rates — machine only. On diesel units fuel is the customer’s responsibility.

Electric or diesel rough-terrain?

Match the machine to the floor, not just the height:

The IPAF / operator cost

Every scissor lift operator on a Dubai site needs a current IPAF PAL card — a scissor lift is a MEWP under Dubai Municipality rules. If your team isn’t certified, hire the machine with an operator (around AED 350–600 per day) and verify the operator’s physical PAL card before mobilisation.

Delivery and minimum hire

When monthly hire wins

Because the monthly rate is so discounted, the break-even comes fast. On a 10–12m electric scissor, monthly hire is typically cheaper than daily once you pass roughly 12–14 working days. If your fit-out permit covers a 30-day window, take the month.

Five questions before you sign

  1. Is 5% VAT included or added to the quoted rate?
  2. Is the operator PAL-certified — can you see the card?
  3. Is delivery charged each way or one-way?
  4. What’s the damage waiver and the deductible without it?
  5. What’s the breakdown-replacement turnaround on site?

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a scissor lift in Dubai?

Scissor lift rental in Dubai ranges from about AED 200 per day for a 6m electric platform to AED 950 per day for a 16m diesel rough-terrain machine. Monthly hire roughly halves the per-day cost.

Do I need a licence to operate a scissor lift in Dubai?

Yes. A scissor lift is a MEWP, so the operator must hold a current IPAF PAL card under Dubai Municipality rules. If your team isn’t certified, rent the machine with an operator (around AED 350–600 per day).

What is the difference between an electric and diesel scissor lift?

Electric scissor lifts are for indoor, smooth floors — zero emissions and non-marking tyres. Diesel rough-terrain (4WD) scissor lifts are for outdoor, uneven ground, with higher capacity but outdoor-only use.
