One rule runs through both sides of this site: the company that owns the machine sets the rate and signs the contract, and we are not in the middle of it. Below is exactly what happens when you hire, exactly what happens when you list, and the things we do not do at any point.
The whole model in one paragraph.
UAE rental companies register themselves and publish their own machines, rates, photos and availability. Contractors browse those listings without an account and deal with the owner of the machine. The rental agreement, the money and the liability sit between those two companies. MachineryRentalMarket is an introduction — free to use on both sides, with no commission on a hire, no listing fee and no lead fee. Nothing here is sold to either side.
Listings, specifications, photos, the owner's published rate and the name of the company that owns the machine are all open. There is no login wall on the marketplace and no account needed to look.
Read the status on a listing as the owner's last update, not a live feed. A machine can go out on hire at any time and there is no mechanism that takes it down automatically, so confirm the dates you actually need are free before you plan around it.
Sending an enquiry from a listing sends your name, company, phone, email and dates to that one supplier. They reply to you on your own details. It does not enter a queue we control, we do not price it, we do not pass it to their competitors, and we do not resell it to anyone.
If nothing listed fits — wrong emirate, wrong capacity, wrong dates — post a request instead. It goes to the equipment owners on the platform and they come back to you with what they have.
We make no promise about a reply. We cannot make a supplier answer, we do not know what they will quote, and we do not chase them on your behalf. If one does not come back, send another enquiry.
Everything commercial is settled between you and the owner: the rate and the hire period, dry hire or with an operator, mobilisation and off-hire dates, delivery and collection, deposit, damage and insurance, and fuel. Nobody negotiates on your behalf and nothing is agreed on the platform's authority. Get it in writing before the machine leaves their yard — the checklist below is what to cover.
Registered suppliers can build a structured quote inside the platform with their own VAT and TRN fields, upload your signed LPO against that quote, and generate the tax invoice from it. Those documents are theirs, issued under their trade licence and their TRN, and they export as PDF or CSV.
We never invoice you and we never handle payment. Money goes from your company to the supplier's, on their terms.
What we do not do at any point in that.
This is the part a first-time hirer in the UAE gets caught by, and none of it is ours to answer — it is a conversation with the supplier. Put it in the quote or the LPO, not in a phone call.
| Minimum hire and how it is counted | Ask whether the period runs on calendar days or working days, and what happens over a Friday, a public holiday or a site shutdown. Minimums differ by machine and by supplier — a boom lift and a 100-tonne mobile crane are not on the same terms. |
|---|---|
| Off-hire notice | Hire normally runs until you formally off-hire in writing, not from the day you stop using the machine. Agree how much notice they need, what counts as notice, and get a written off-hire reference when you send it. |
| Dry hire or with an operator | Some yards dry-hire only, some supply a certified operator, and the rate structure is different. It is set by the owner, not by us — confirm it before you plan the crew. |
| Operator credentials | MEWP operators on most Dubai sites need a current IPAF PAL card in the right category (1b/3a/3b for the machine you booked). Crane work needs a certified operator plus a rigger and banksman. Ask whose responsibility that is, and get copies before mobilisation day. |
| Third-party inspection (TPI) | Lifting equipment and MEWPs need a valid third-party inspection certificate from an accredited body, and the certificate has an expiry date. Ask for the PDF and check the date covers your whole hire, not just the delivery day — the site gate will ask for it and an expired one stops the machine at the barrier. |
| Insurance and excess | Establish who insures the machine itself, who carries third-party liability, what the excess is, and whether your project's insurance is expected to cover a hired-in unit. Get the certificate, not a verbal assurance. |
| Damage, tyres and breakdown | Agree who pays for damage and tyres, what counts as fair wear, and — the one that costs money — whether the hire clock stops during a breakdown and how quickly they will attend or swap the machine. |
| Delivery, collection and transport | Tracked machines travel on a low-bed. Agree who books and pays for transport each way, whether the site can take the trailer, and who obtains the RTA permit if the load is abnormal. Ask them to quote it as a line, not as an assumption. |
| Emirate and free-zone access | A machine hired in Dubai and working in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah crosses an emirate boundary, and site gate passes are issued per site. Free zones — JAFZA, DAFZA, KIZAD, Hamriyah and the rest — run their own entry permits and their own customs jurisdiction, so equipment moving in or out can need customs paperwork on top of the gate pass. Start that before the machine is loaded, not on the day. |
| Permits and NOCs | Cranes and tall booms in Dubai can need a DCAA no-objection certificate where the works sit under a flight path or inside a height-restricted zone. Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence approvals apply to particular works and to particular equipment on occupied sites. Confirm who applies and how long it takes before you fix a mobilisation date. |
| VAT and the tax invoice | Equipment hire in the UAE is standard-rated at 5% VAT. Check the supplier's TRN appears on the tax invoice and that the quoted rate is stated as exclusive or inclusive of VAT — most yards quote exclusive. |
| Working-hour restrictions | The MoHRE midday break bans outdoor work in the hottest hours over the summer window (15 June to 15 September, 12:30 to 15:00; MoHRE confirms the dates each year), and Ramadan hours are shorter. Both change how many productive days you actually get out of a week of hire, so build them into the period you book. |
A longer walk-through of each of these terms sits in rental terms explained, and the shorter pre-enquiry questions are answered in the FAQ.
If you have read this far because you are trying to work out whether this is a lead-selling scheme dressed as a marketplace: it is not, and the mechanics below are the reason rather than the promise.
Create a supplier account with email or Google. There is no form to fill in before you get an account, no callback to wait for, and nobody will phone you about upgrading.
Your company name, your emirate, and a phone or email an enquiry can actually reach. That profile becomes a page on the site carrying your name, your categories and your machines — an address that works for your company in search, which most UAE rental yards do not have.
Name, category, location, condition, minimum hire, your own photos, and your own daily, weekly and monthly rates — leave any of them blank if you do not publish it. You write them and you change them. We do not edit a rate, moderate one, or rank listings by what anybody pays, because nobody pays anything.
Listings go live immediately, and you can edit or remove any of them at any time. Set a machine to On Rent when it goes out. Keeping that status honest is the single thing that makes a listing worth having.
When a contractor enquires on your listing, their name, company, phone, email and dates go to the email and phone on your profile. Concretely, that means: it is not held back, not scored, not throttled, not auctioned, not sold to you, and not copied to another supplier. There is no credit balance to top up before you can see who it is, because there is nothing between the enquiry and your inbox.
Requests posted on the request board work the same way — they go out to the equipment owners on the platform, and whoever can cover it contacts the contractor directly.
You quote, you agree the terms, you invoice, you get paid. The rental contract is yours. If you want to use them, the platform's quote builder, LPO handling and tax-invoice generation are free and carry your VAT and TRN — export to PDF or CSV for your accountant. There is no accounting integration and nothing syncs to your books; the export is the handover. Nothing obliges you to use any of it.
And the next time that contractor needs a machine, they come to you, not back through us.
What listing costs: nothing.
No listing fee, no commission on a hire, no subscription, no exclusivity, no lead fee, and no featured or promoted placement to buy — there is no paid tier for a free tier to be an upsell for. You can list one machine or the whole yard.
Being straight about where this is: MachineryRentalMarket is early, and the supplier directory is short because every company on it registered itself. We do not scrape listings from directories and we do not create supplier records on anyone's behalf. That is the honest argument for listing now rather than later — there is no queue of yards ahead of you in the categories a contractor searches.

| Not a broker or an agent | We do not represent either side, hold a mandate, negotiate, or take a position on a hire. We publish what owners list and connect the two parties. |
|---|---|
| Not a party to the contract | The rental agreement is between the hirer and the owner. We do not own or operate any machine listed, we do not guarantee its condition or availability, and we have no liability under that contract. See the terms. |
| Not a vetting service | We do not inspect machines, audit fleets, take up references, or check insurance. There is no mechanism for it and no staff to do it. Confirm trade licence, TPI certificate and insurance with the supplier yourself, exactly as you would with any rental company you found by any other route. |
| Not a lead broker | Enquiries go to the supplier, not into a pool that gets sold back to them. There is no lead price, no per-enquiry charge and no pay-to-unlock. |
| Not staffed | The platform is automated end to end. There is no sales team, no account manager and no call centre — nobody from here will phone you, about a listing or anything else. Email info@machineryrentalmarket.com and it reaches the operator directly. |
