Bulldozer Rental UAE — Rates by Size (2026)

Bulldozer rental in the UAE runs from about AED 1,200 per day for a small D6-class dozer to AED 5,500 per day for a large D8/D9 with operator. Size class, operator inclusion, and mobilisation are the main cost drivers. Here's the full 2026 picture.

Bulldozer rates by size class

UAE rental companies price dozers by operating weight and blade size. The most common units on Emirates sites are Caterpillar D6/D7/D8 and Komatsu D65/D85 equivalents. Most bulldozers are rented wet (with operator) because they need a competent dozer operator and the rental company carries the machine risk.

Mobilisation — the cost people forget

A dozer is not road-legal; it ships on a lowbed trailer. Mobilisation and demobilisation are charged separately and can be significant — typically AED 800-2,500 each way depending on size and distance, more for Abu Dhabi or remote desert sites. On short jobs, transport can rival the rental itself, so dozers only make economic sense for multi-day earthworks.

Always get mobilisation quoted as a line item, both ways. A ‘cheap’ daily rate with AED 2,000 each-way transport is more expensive over a 3-day job than a higher daily rate with bundled delivery.

Fuel and operator

Fuel is almost always the customer's cost. A working D7 burns roughly 25-35 L/hour; a D9 can exceed 50 L/hour. At UAE diesel around AED 3.10/L, that's AED 80-160/hour in fuel alone on top of the rate. With operator, expect a 10-hour shift basis — overtime and Friday/holiday work usually attract a surcharge.

When monthly beats daily

For land clearing, bulk earthmoving, or quarry/landfill push work, monthly hire is far cheaper per day and removes repeat mobilisation. Break-even is typically around 12-15 working days. For anything over two months, negotiate a renewal discount.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a bulldozer in the UAE per day?

Expect roughly AED 1,200-1,800/day for a small D6-class dozer and AED 3,800-6,500/day for a large D8/D9 with operator. Dry hire (machine only) is cheaper but uncommon for dozers.

Is the operator included in bulldozer rental?

Usually yes — most UAE dozer hire is ‘wet’ (with a trained operator). Dry hire is available if you have your own certified operator, and runs noticeably cheaper.

What is mobilisation and how much is it?

Mobilisation is the lowbed transport to and from your site, billed separately — typically AED 800-2,500 each way, higher for Abu Dhabi or remote locations. Always confirm it as a line item.

Is it cheaper to rent a bulldozer monthly?

Yes for sustained earthworks — monthly hire breaks even at around 12-15 working days and avoids repeat transport charges. Long bookings also unlock renewal discounts.

Which bulldozer size do I need?

D5/D6 for grading and light clearing, D7 for general earthmoving, D8+ for heavy bulk push, ripping rock, or quarry/landfill work. Tell the supplier your task and ground conditions and they'll size it.
